Two seasons of Call of the Night are already out and thanks to its unique vibe, stunning visuals, and lovable characters, the anime has built up a dedicated fanbase. Now fans are wondering where things stand with a potential Season 3. We’ve got you covered.

Call of the Night: What’s the Story About?

Unable to sleep, student Kou Yamori begins wandering the streets of his city at night. During one of these walks, he meets the eccentric Nazuna Nanakusa, who offers to help him with his insomnia and eventually even drinks his blood.

To his disappointment, however, Kou doesn’t turn into a vampire. The mysterious girl explains that this can only happen if he falls in love with her. Although Kou has no idea how that’s supposed to work, he becomes determined to achieve it and ends up becoming Nazuna’s companion.

Call of the Night: Will There Be a Season 3?

Unfortunately, there has been no announcement of a third season of Call of the Night just yet. Neither production studio Liden Films nor any streaming platform has confirmed a continuation.

That might sound discouraging at first, but it doesn’t mean another season won’t happen. It can take several years before new anime seasons are officially announced and when they are, fans often get a release date, trailer, and visuals all at once.

On top of that, the manga the anime is based on is still ongoing, meaning there’s plenty of source material left to work with. While Season 2 wrapped up with the Detective Arc, the Hokkaido Arc remains unadapted and is waiting in the wings.

Call of the Night has also reportedly been a strong success, and if Studio Liden Films expects similar results from a third season, it’s really only a matter of time before it gets the green light.

Possible Release Date for Season 3

Since a third season of Call of the Night has not yet been officially confirmed, there is no release date at this time. However, fans have already started speculating about when the series might continue.

There was a three-year gap between Season 1 and Season 2, so it’s possible that this pattern will continue. If that’s the case, Season 3 might not arrive until 2028.

Of course, this is purely speculation. Either way, fans should be prepared to wait, as a continuation in the near future seems unlikely. If any new information becomes available, we’ll update this article accordingly.

How Many Episodes Could Season 3 Have?

Season 1 ran for 13 episodes, while Season 2 came in slightly shorter at 12. Taking the length of the first two seasons into account alongside the remaining source material still to be adapted, Season 3 would likely land somewhere in the same range around 12 to 13 episodes.

Call of the Night: Where to Start the Manga After Season 2

The Call of the Night anime is based on the manga of the same name by Kotoyama. If you want to find out what happens next, you can simply continue with the manga, which was completed in 2024 and is already fully available in English.

To pick up where the anime leaves off, you should start with Chapter 97 (Volume 10).

As with many adaptations, the anime takes a few liberties compared to the source material. However, these are only minor details. The core story remains the same. So you can jump in right where the anime ends without any issues.
