When Redo of Healer premiered in January 2021, no other anime sparked as much heated discussion. Violence, revenge, and torture run through all 12 episodes of the series, making it not suited for the faint-hearted.
Despite, or perhaps because of that, the anime managed to attract a great deal of attention. To this day, fans are still wondering whether Redo of Healer will receive a second season.
What Happened in the Season 1 Finale
In the Redo of Healer finale, the events surrounding Keyarga continue to reach a boiling point. Freia declares that non-humans are not the enemy and convinces the soldiers to stand down. Keyarga also engages in an intense battle with Hawkeye, ultimately coming out on top.
He then incapacitates Norn and has her locked away. By reading her memories, he discovers that she was responsible for the attack on his village.
Consumed by a desire for revenge, Keyarga confronts Norn with her crimes and subjects her to a brutal punishment. He ultimately rewrites her memories and completely alters her appearance, forging a new identity for her: Ellen, who now believes herself to be his little sister.
Shortly after, Kureha joins the group, and Keyarga introduces her to Ellen, while Setsuna and Eve continue to remain by his side.
In the end, Keyarga decides to journey on together with Freia, Setsuna, Ellen, Kureha, and Eve in order to help Eve on her path. Meanwhile, Proum tasks the fighter Bullet with hunting Keyarga down. Keyarga begins to realize he is developing feelings for his companions. Yet he remains fully committed to seeing his revenge against Bullet through to the end.
Redo of Healer: Has Season 2 been announced?
It’s still unclear whether the dark fantasy anime will ever continue. Neither the animation studio TNK nor any streaming platform has commented on a potential second season so far.
In the past, supposed release dates have circulated among fans, but they have all turned out to be false. As of now, there is no official confirmation of a continuation of Redo of Healer.
The author of the original light novel series Rui Tsukiyo also commented on a possible sequel back in 2023, though his statement remained rather vague:
“I’m often asked whether there will be a second season. Unfortunately, as the author, I’m not allowed to share any information before it’s announced through official channels. So it’s best to follow official updates closely. That way you’ll find out as soon as possible.”

How Likely Is a Season 2?
Whether Redo of Healer will get a second season is anybody’s guess at this point. Given that the first season aired back in 2021, many fans have already given up hope of a continuation.
That said, it’s not entirely out of the question. The first season was a solid success: the anime managed to sell a significant number of discs both in Japan and internationally.
The story of Redo of Healer is also far from finished. The anime is based on a light novel by Rui Tsukiyo that has been running since 2016, and there is also a manga adaptation based on the same source material. In theory, there’s more than enough content to continue the series.
Ultimately, a second season comes down to whether production studio TNK believes the investment of time and resources is worth it. Anime continuations always depend on a combination of factors: disc and merchandise sales, production schedules, streaming numbers and the ongoing performance of the light novel or manga.
