Rising Impact follows the story of Gawain Nanaumi, a young boy who discovers his talent for golf and dreams of becoming the greatest professional golfer in the world one day. In August 2024, the second season of the sports anime was released on Netflix. Since then, fans have been wondering when the series will continue.
In this article, we’ll take a look at the current status of Season 3 and whether fans should have any hope for a continuation.
The Story of Rising Impact
Gawain Nanaumi is an unassuming boy living with his grandfather in the mountains of Fukushima. A baseball lover at heart, he dreams of one day making it big as a hitter. But everything changes when he crosses paths with professional golfer Kiria Nishino, who lets him take a swing on a whim.
What happens next stops everyone in their tracks: on his very first attempt, the ball soars an astonishing 270 meters. Convinced she’s just witnessed something extraordinary, Kiria decides to take him under her wing and support his athletic career.
That decision leads Gawain to Camelot Academy, one of Tokyo’s most prestigious golf schools. There, alongside other talented young golfers, he fights his way to the top with one goal in mind: becoming the greatest professional golfer in the world. But the road ahead is far tougher than he ever imagined…

Has Rising Impact Season 3 been announced?
As of now, neither Netflix nor the studio Lay-duce has confirmed the production of a third season. The future of the series therefore remains uncertain.
At this point, any talk about Season 3 is purely speculative. What is known is that the first season managed to stay in Netflix’s Global Top 10 for one week (from June 24 to June 30). The series managed to rack up a total of one million views during that period. However, rumors suggest that the second season attracted significantly fewer viewers.
Season 2 of Rising Impact was released on August 6, 2024. The silence since then isn’t unusual, though. Many Netflix anime have only been renewed after two or even three years.
At least there’s no shortage of source material. Rising Impact is based on the manga of the same name by Nakaba Suzuki, which was published in Weekly Shonen Jump from November 1998 to February 2002. So far, the anime has only adapted around 115 of the story’s 147 chapters.
If any new information about Season 3 of Rising Impact becomes available, we’ll keep you updated in this article.
What Could a Season 3 Look Like?
Season 2 wrapped up with the Camelot Cup Arc, leaving one final arc still to be told and that’s exactly what a potential Season 3 could cover, bringing the Rising Impact story to a close.
The first season of the golf anime ran for 12 episodes, while the second clocked in at 14 episodes. Should a final season be greenlit, it will likely land somewhere in the same ballpark.
Rising Impact: Where to Read the Manga
For fans who don’t want to wait around for a potential Season 3, reading the Rising Impact manga might seem like the obvious solution. After all, the story has already concluded there.
There is a catch, though: the manga has not yet been officially translated into English, and even fan translations only cover around 15 chapters. Anyone looking to buy the volumes will have to read them in Japanese.
